Who is Forerunner?

We started as a group of Indonesian women who came together for prayers at home. This was like a support system for us who, at that time, relocated to Singapore because of the 1998 riots in Indonesia.

 

We grew into an inter-denominational community of Christian Indonesian women, where we support each other through prayer and equipping sessions, spurring one another to grow in our spiritual walk with God.

 

With our vision and mission to reach souls for Christ, we have a midweek fellowship that takes place on every 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, which are open to the public.

We are also involved in various ministries; which includes the Healing ministry, Outreach ministry, and Women Ministry.

 

Our Women's Ministry hosts the Wise Woman Camp yearly, where we impact communities not only in Singapore and Indonesia, but also in Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and Australia.

Mission:​

Through sharing the Word of God, we bring women back to the Truth of God’s word; for them to pursue spiritual maturity in fulfilling God’s calling and purpose in their life.

Be the doer of the Word, living life led by the Spirit, walking in God’s love, and be more Christ-like.

Forerunners Core Values:

 

1.    LOVE

God is love.

We believe that God so loved us that He gave us His only Son, to reconcile us back to Him.

His sacrificial love empowers us to love others and walk in love.

2.    IDENTITY

Jesus has achieved the ultimate victory for us.

Through Christ, we are forgiven of all our sins and made righteous.  

We are adopted into the kingdom of God as sons, and separated unto God as royalty. As sons of God, we know who we are, what we have in Him and what we can do through what He has achieved for us.

We help others to realize their identity in Him and be reconciled with the Father.

3.    TRUTH & POWER

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is inspired and accurate. It is the source of infallible truth, which we stand upon. 

As we encounter God in His Word, the Holy Spirit empowers us to walk in the power and authority, which He had given to us.

4.    HONOUR

We recognize that every person is valuable as we are made in the image of God. We respond to people based on their God-given identity.  

We choose to cultivate a culture of honour through respect and integrity to each other, and submission to our leaders and authority.

5.    FAMILY  

Family is God’s design and we learn about God’s heart here.  We are Christ-centered and prioritize relationship.  

We recognize the importance of parenting the next generation.

Through unity in family, we acknowledge and celebrate each other’s best, spurring on those taking risk in faith and at the same time, accept differences. We recognize that each of us play a different role in the Body of Christ.

We correct in love where necessary, all done for the edification of one another.
